An encaustic on paper workshop is an art class where you learn to paint using heated beeswax mixed with colored pigments on paper, instead of traditional painting techniques like oil, acrylic, or watercolor.

In this workshop, you will:

• Apply colored wax: Using brushes or other tools to spread melted wax onto paper.
• Creating layers: Building colors, patterns, and textures.
• Experimenting with techniques: Scraping, scratching, blending, adding oil sticks and crayon for depth.
• Making your own artwork: Creating multiple finished pieces to take home.

Encaustic on paper is a fabulous way to create something as small as a textured bookmark, a card to write home on, or a larger work of art. Beware, once you start, you won’t want to stop!
